Winters Bone Winters bone strongly uses its social construct to help emphasise realism in the film. For example, during the production of the film, the film makers chose to film in the public area, had the characters wear clothes from the shops in the area and even used local actors to help create an authentic feeling. A sequence that’s strongly shows the use of the films social construct is when Jennifer Lawrence’s character Ree takes her younger brother and sister hunting for squirrels. The fact that it is the older sister who is having to take this mother role on due to her mother’s health highlights the fact that the place the family live in is very self-reliant and quite poor. INT. BEDROOM is dark and gloom, empty bottles of alcohol scattered across the room and around BED. Small amount of SUNLIGHT can be seen peaking through gaps in curtain. Blonde MALE character wakes up, stress expressed on his face, hangover clearly taking effect. Slowly LIFTS his head and quietly MOANS as he SITS UP. BLONDE MALE LOOKS around his BEDROOM sees a large mess; the look of DISGUST can be seen on his face on his face. BLONDE MALE character Stands up and Stumbles towards the window and DRAWS the curtain. SUNLIGHT GLARES on his face, BEDROOM more BRIGHTLY lit.  MALE SQUINTS EYS in the SUNLIGHT and TURNS away from the window and slowly WALKS out of the BEDROOM.

Cinematic ideas- the most of this short film will be filmed during the night time to reflect the whole darkness and eeriness of the dream to inflict emotions of sadness and melancholia. some scenes will be shot during the day, this will create a distinction between the real world and the dream, with dark being the dream and light during the real world,) general locations of the film will be in lonesome and deserted areas such as 'the abandoned bridge' in Weddington as well as 'desert' which is deserted flat land with trees and woods within the general Sandon region. these locations will be used during night time. in the day time areas such as town which can vary in population will be used to make these sequences more cosy and relatable to real life. white shirts will be worm within the dream segments, however this will change over the course of the film; resembling how the purity of this character is lost. in the dream world, influences of lighter colours such as pink...
